The practice fee has been determined through reviewing the Medicare Benefit Schedule (MBS) fee and rebate amount, and the Australian Medical Association (AMA) fee schedule.
Please note that this is not a bulk billing practice.
This practice operates through direct face-to-face consultation, with the understanding that there may be times that attending the practice rooms in person may not be possible. In these circumstances, appointments can be rescheduled, or if the appointment is essential, can be delivered via telehealth.
Accounts are to be paid on the day of service by EFTPOS. Payments by cash or direct bank transfer can be arranged. If you are experiencing difficulties meeting these fees, then please discuss this prior to your appointment.
Fees for other services (eg attending case conferences, meetings) and telehealth consultation can be made available on request.
Rebate paid by Medicare is dependent on several factors. Assigned benefit is most commonly 85% of the MBS scheduled fee. The difference between the Medicare rebate and the Practice fee is the out-of-pocket expense (or gap fee). Once an individual (or family) registered for the Extended Medicare Safety Net reaches a certain threshold they may also be refunded 80% of the out-of-pocket expenses. For more information:
